Headless Jane was just a plain 21 year old woman hailing from City One; the place where everyone smiles. But Plain Jane wasn't happy, no matter how much she smiled she wasn't happy. Why wasn't she happy? Because she felt so... plain. She would sit in her room when not working to watch the 'beautiful' people walk by. Each day she would do this, filled with admiration for those beautiful people.

Oh how she envied them. How she wished she could look just like them. She knew that was never going to happen.

One day however as she was working away a young beautiful blonde haired woman came into the butcher shop. She was in awe of the young woman's beauty and it was then that she knew she had to have her. She needed that head so she could stare at it all day and make herself happy.

Showing the woman into the back room to show her the more 'valuable' product, she grabbed the axe and swung it down on the poor victims neck, chopping her head off with ease. As the head rolled to her feet, Jane smiled for the first time in a long time she was happy again.

Her need to bring in more beautiful heads to add to her shelves only grew and grew and after some time her collection managed to reach the total of 24 before she was found out and as punishment for her crimes beheaded the same way as she killed her victims; Chopping off her head with an axe. As the axe swung down on her neck all the young woman did was smile. her collection had been most beautiful and she had no regrets.

Her head had been buried long after her death in a place no one knows, nor did anyone care. Now she haunts City Three during a full moon wielding an axe and still trying to find heads she deems beautiful for her new collection. If she managed to catch you, she'll drag you off to a quiet dark place and the last thing you'll see is her swinging her axe down upon your neck.

Abilities:

As an idol Rise is definitely someone who can do many different things. An idol in Japan is someone who can do the following things:

- Sing
- Dance
- Act and
- Model

She could if it was needed to do a combo of those thing since this is what she has learnt to do since becoming an idol. They aren't anything outstanding but they make part of who she is.

Personality:

With the main character, Rise definitely is obvious in how she feels and how she acts. She will flirt and go up to him more closely than she would the others in that way and in some cases such as during her Social Link she even goes as far as to joke about when she finished school of them getting married. She definitely cares about him and in a way this is how she shows it. Not in the same way she would everyone else however. But sometimes being so bold as to do the things she does during the game also shows that sometimes she does her actions on purpose and right in front of the others for one reason or another, especially in front of the other girls.

But in this case her acting the way she does shows a certain closeness to all her team mates since at the time it was a side of her that she hadn't shown anyone what her 'true' personality was at the time, where as she was accepted as who she was by the others and not just who she was as Risette; something she had wanted since she was a young child and became an idol.

As noted in Rise's actions can be quite bold they were especially bold in the inns baths. She went right up to her to compliment her on her skin; the first girl to do so before the others joined in. It can show that by doing this she is comfortable in her actions around the girls.

At times she can also be rather playful such as the time she came up with King Game for them to play. She thought it would be a fun game to try out in that type of situation and even though she was 'drunk' from the atmosphere of the place she was still playful enough to come up with ideas that were harmless but quite awkward.

Her thoughts when it came to her becoming in idol were simple. She believes that she could make friends unlike what happened before since being an idol everyone would see you so she was sure she could make friends. Her expectations and reality were two very different things. She mentions she made friends, but not friends who could see who she really was and instead were just simply friends with the personality 'they' created; Risette. This made her feel like she really hadn't accomplished what she had wanted in the first place and her life as an idol soon lead her to more insecurities about her true self and the fact that she felt like what she had become wasn't that.

She simply feared that people would only care about her as the idol Risette and not want to get to know her as who she believed she was, which at the time she probably didn't even know herself because of her life as an idol.

During her Social Link we start off with her still believing that she didn't want to go back into the life of an idol, feeling as if she wouldn't be her real self. As the time went on and her Social Link developed you start to see that she slowly starts to change her mind once she starts to realize that in all honesty it was a life that she liked and that she could show her true self and not just one part of who she was her 'idol' self.

To start off with it seemed like however that she simply wanted to leave and not come back, even telling the manager no a few times before he told her about working for a new idol and the manager pointing out that she can learn fast, adapt to new situations well and have a smile that could be as weak or strong as it needed to be. When this event occurs Rise starts to cry, not really understanding why she was doing so. But she mentions however that she had her friends and that she didn't lose everything pointing towards the fact that she felt like she had lost something.

But by the time the social link ends and towards the end of the game, she had accepted that it's just a part of her and she hoped she could get back into the business showing that she had changed from someone who was really determined not to, to someone who had accepted that being an idol really was just a apart of who she is as a whole and not accepting it wouldn't be true to her self.

Like everyone, Rise too has her faults such as during an omelette cooking contest it showed that Rise can be quite competitive when she wants to. This could in a way be why she is so bold as to be close to the protagonist while the girls are there. She is also someone who as mentioned in an exam study session about asking why she needed to learn another language when she could just get someone else to do it for her. Another fault would be the fact that sometimes she could get jealous sometimes of others, such as her replacement in the film she was suppose to do originally, but it's not something that shows up a lot.

Lastly while she has managed to get over her insecurities of what or who her true self is, doesn't mean that at one point or another she won't get insecure about something again, that is what makes her human. She isn't perfect but she at least tries to get over what weaknesses she may have even if she might not always in the future.

I will add this:
It's mentioned in Arena that Rise has the ability to communicate with everyone when they aren't all together and be able to connect them so that they are able to talk to one another, although this isn't shown from her canon point. (So basically this will never be used)

Also since I'll be taking her through the Golden edition of the game, I will add she does help out more than just scanning and what is shown in the link. During battles Rise can from time to time pops in and help out in various ways such as:
- Healing everyone a small amount
- Restoring a small amount of their SP
- Healing whatever ailment they have
- Either boosting up their strength, defence or accuracy. Never all at the same time.
- Protecting them once from death.

Can probably kill you with their cooking, or at least knock you out.

Personality Description:
When Rise was growing up, she was a shy and lonely child and because of that shyness she would always be bullied by her classmates throughout most of it. It was not until a relative of hers entered her into a competition and when she won it. Thus was the start of her stardom. The reason she accepted in the first place was because she thought that if she was popular with fans, then she would be able to have more friends, but the so called ‘friends’ only were interested in the person that the company had made Rise become and that was Risette, not the person she was in the first place. It's mentioned that she was a part of an anti bullying campaign. This shows that things that have happened as a child have shaped her to want to help others.

Rise is what you would see as one of your everyday, cheerful girls, who is always in very high spirits and comes with a smile that rarely seems to disappear. Unless it’s something she knows would call for a more serious matter. She is very positive in the things that she does and wants to be of help to the team when she first joins, becoming a big help in the supporting role when she does.

Out of the whole group Rise is the one that seems to be the friendliest and would be easily be able to speak with others and can even talk to people who are more serious without batting an eyelid. She is also to be known to be a very kind and caring person, for example when it comes to her fans as Risette she still reads their mail and in one case talks to them via letters. Unlike her ditsy showbiz side that is Risette she is more different from that side of herself.

Rise is one who hates people seeing just her idol side though, as the shadow of her true self showed to everyone. She is just a girl who is like everyone else, and that is how it started to begin with, but by the end of the game and when the social link is at max with the protagonist she wants to go back into that world, but instead show of just going back to the way things were before, she wants to show the her fans that there is another side to her and not the one that she was always showing in the first place. She knows that while Risette is truly a part of her and her personality, she does have another part to show.

Rise also can come off as a bit of a flirt at times, especially when it’s around the main character. Right off the bat after saving her she started and has shown to do this through out the game on occasions and she isn't exactly one to hide it either. She also has shown to be touchy feely at one point with Naoto in the spa. Some could call it curiosity since at the time they didn't know much about her physically because she keeps it well hidden.

She can also care for not only other people that she doesn't know, but cares deeply for her friends as well, as proven when she helps out with being the support role for the group, taking over for Teddie. She has shown that she is a reliable friend to have on their team with her abilities with her persona to help them figure out how to be able to beat certain shadows. She can easily express how she is feeling and will do if she is feeling sad, depressed or even happy at the time. She is also a very good actress since she has to act at being Risette before she quit show business at the time.

Third Person Sample:
Rise hadn't a clue as to what happened to her before she was kidnapped, but she had to admit that she was pretty annoyed that it even happened so long after the first time. She had no clue where she was going or why for that matter. The murders had been solved a while ago, so why now was it happening again?

As she slowly opened up her eyes and looked around at her surrounding she couldn't help but feel a little confused. This wasn't the television like she had automatically assumed she would end up. Instead it was a bright white room and one she couldn't think of what it was. She slowly moved her legs to the side, trying her best to get her bearing together and not be as confused and annoyed at the situation. Thing had been peaceful and she had been planning a come back as an idol. Seems like that was going to be taking the back burner for now.

With her eyes finally fully focused she glanced around. Where on earth was she? This couldn't be Inaba because she didn't recall any rooms there or at the hospital being this white and lack windows. Once she realized this her hands rushed to her pockets of her uniform, checking to see if she had her usual belonging that she always kept, but found nothing. This was enough to just annoy her more.

"Did they really have to rob me too?" She muttered slowly standing up. That was rather uncool whoever kidnapped her. Way uncool.

Knowing that her usual glasses weren't with her she continued to look around and soon noticed the rather long box. "Ah, I guess my things must be in this." Although as she walked closer to it, she started to wonder why kidnappers would want to do such a thing? Seemed rather odd. Once she reached it and had moved her hands to take the lid off she saw what was inside.

"Okay so we have...clothing that honestly I'm not going to change into. I'm not ill, I'm just kidnapped so I'll be keeping my clothing on." her hands took those clothes out and placed them on the side to never be touched again before reaching in and pulling out what appeared to be a small cub of something. Rise knew right away what it was. "Tofu?" She paused at this strange thought of putting into her box. It wasn't hers she didn't have it with her at the time so why was it in there?

But as she puzzled that over she noticed something long and shiny. So with her curiosity as to what was being seen out of the corner of her eye and placed the tofu in her pocket and went to see what it was.

As her hand grasp the handle, she knew already it was a sword of some kind and as she tried to lift it, she had to admit they look heavier than she thought. She wondered how senpai managed. As she started to pull it out she soon noticed that it didn't look anything like a sword. What on earth was it? Why was she even given it in the first place?

The more she thought about it the more this place confused her as she placed the sword down and grabbed the device that appeared to be in there too and placed that in her pocket. It seems that was everything. What was she suppose to do now? Why did her kidnappers put her in this? Did they expect her to do something? Did they expect her to kill someone?

The thought alone was too much for her and only made her angry. "I won't hurt anyone!" She looked up at the ceiling, she didn't know if they were watching or not, but she didn't care. She wasn't going to follow what they wanted. "You can't make me either!" She clenched her fist tightly as she once more looked at the weapon. She didn't want to take it really, like she didn't want to take those change of clothes. She didn't want any of this anyway, so why? What was the point in all this? Grabbing the weapon just in case there were others who were around she went to leave the room and was slightly surprised when she was allowed with no one stopping her.

She had to admit she figured that since she had a weapon that she would have been able to leave but that didn't stop her from being somewhat surprised. All she had to do now was find a way out of here, but even she knew that wasn't going to be easy.

First Person Sample:
[It had taken Rise some getting use to being around here. In all honesty she still thought it was a little strange. But at least for now she managed to get the device working even with the 33%, but it meant she was being careful until she could find some batteries. For now she looks rather chipper, a smile on her face and a tone in her voice.]

Hey~! So um, I know this doesn't have much battery life on it but I guess I'm trying to understand where I've been kidnapped too? I mean this isn't Inaba, far from it and the people here seem way to happy to be here. [Her smiles slowly fades away, turning into a slight frown. She figured now wasn't the time for her to fake smiles. They weren't needed even in this town full of possible fakers. That's what she think anyway.]

I mean.. we've been kidnapped right? And yet they let us wonder around freely, but why? I don't think these kidnappers understand the whole kidnapping thing unless of course we're meant to do what I think we are meant to. [She gives a small pause.] I mean I'm not going to kill any of you if that is what they want. I won't ever do that.

[The frown was still there as her face looked sad. She didn't want to be here and she was sure others didn't either.]

I hope that... someone will find us soon. Someone did for me before, I'm sure someone will do it again. [Just thinking about it gives her a small smile.]
